Over the last 20 years, Donna Peavler has emerged as a knowledgeable and highly regarded lawyer in Texas personal injury litigation. She tried and won her first case while still in law school at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, and has since tried numerous cases to verdict in both Texas state and federal courts. She also has developed an impressive appellate record, arguing and winning cases in state and federal courts of appeals, as well as the Texas Supreme Court.
After interning for Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Thomas Phillips and graduating from law school with honors in 1992, Donna began her career with Jones Day, where she practiced in the litigation group for six years before pursing a more trial-oriented practice. In 1998, she joined the boutique Dallas litigation firm of Hartline, Dacus, Dreyer & Kern, where she was able to compile valuable trial experience in both state and federal courts.
In 2002, Donna left Hartline Dacus to form her own firm with brothers Don and Doug Uloth. In 2008, she formed The Peavler Group to focus on general liability, nonsubscription and commercial litigation. Donna has worked hard to develop a strong reputation for providing large and small clients with high quality and efficient legal representation. Donna’s clients range from large companies like The Kroger Co., Target Corporation, Bass Pro Stores, IESI Industries, Inc., Fiesta Mart, Inc. and Grocers Supply Co. to small retailers, home health care providers and construction companies.
Donna takes a personal interest in each of her clients, and participates in the community by providing pro bono representation to clients who are financially unable to retain counsel. Donna also is an active speaker and writer on various litigation and risk-management issues, with published papers on topics ranging from nonsubscription, arbitration and products liability to federal procedural issues.
