Chris' legal career began in 2001 upon graduating from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin. His experience in law school included receiving the Dean's Achievement Award, participating in a nationally ranked trial advocacy program, and working on the Texas Journal of Business Law. He also graduated as a certified mediator with a graduate portfolio in dispute resolution. Born in Texas, Chris lived in numerous states and several different countries before his journeys took him back to the Lone Star State in 1997 after graduating with honors from Brigham Young University, interning with the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee and working on the biography of Chief Justice Warren Burger.
Joining New York based Wilson Elser after graduation, Chris practiced in the litigation group for five years, gaining experience on a wide variety of matters in both state and federal courts. In 2007, Chris was invited to join Marshall White, where he acted as oversight counsel on high exposure matters for Lloyd's of London syndicates and also provided risk management services. In 2009, Chris decided to return to litigation, and happily joined the Peavler Group.
Since 2001, Chris has handled cases in all phases of litigation, from pre-suit resolution through appeal. He has experience with personal injury, transportation, premises liability, products liability, employment, and wrongful death claims, as well as commercial litigation and small business support. His extensive experience with alternative dispute resolution, risk management and litigation enables him to bring a unique set of tools to each situation. Chris is dedicated to maintaining high standards of professionalism consistent with the Peavler Group's mission, while achieving first rate results for clients. Certified Mediator, Texas, 2001.
